Persian Cultures and Civilization Course

Sunday, August 26 - 5:00 pm to Friday, December 21 - 4:00 pm

Taught in English, course explores major themes in the development of Iranian cultures and civilization from antiquity to the present, including, but not limited to, history, religions, languages, ethnicities, arts, traditions, and customs. By the end of the course, students have learnt the basics of modern Iranian cultures, and have been introduced to the ethnic, linguistic, and religious diversities within Iranian geographical territories, and in the Diasporas. In addition, other Persian speaking peoples and their cultures including Afghans and Tajiks are introduced.
